About Us

Environmental Products, Inc. was incorporated in 1972 by Ben Catchings, Jr. Ben began the company with a few lines such as Temtrol, Nortec, and Vibration Eliminator by working from his home. In 1985, he moved from his home to an office in Cahaba Heights, and began adding staff and new manufacturers. We now represent over 30 manufacturers of HVAC equipment and air distribution equipment.

On December 31, 2007, Ben retired and sold his company to his daughter, Vicki. Now a second-generation company, Vicki continues to run the company just as her father did, and has received many certifications for being a Woman Owned Business (WBE).

Our staff of engineers provides technical and application assistance to engineers, contractors, and building owners, from the design stage to after-the-sale assistance. EPI has been a major supplier of equipment for such customers as University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB), Children’s Hospital of Birmingham, Huntsville Hospital, City of Birmingham, University of Alabama, Auburn University, and many others. We have experience in projects that range from a few dollars to millions.
